It’s time for another wonderful moc made by the super talented Brickative team. This time with a twist.

The Courthouse.

This is my first MOD of a MOC building. I’m a HUGE Brickative fan. I love their designs. I bought the instructions for the Town hospital on the Brickative website.  I already have a hospital in my city. So I needed to get creative and find another use for this design. I’ve had the idea of making a courtroom for some time, but needed the building to place it in. This courthouse also does some of the Town Hall duties. I’ll let Carl the Carpenter take over from here.

The front and back:

Hi! I’m Carl. I’m going to show you some of the changes we’ve made to the original building. At the front door, we changed the sign above the door.

One of the major changes was closing the gateway. Here at the front, we’ve added a canopy style window.

On the back, we’ve added two window panels.

The ground floor:

All the internal walls are kept as they were.

The newest addition to the building, the courtroom. With witness stand and everything.

The reception setup from the town hospital was really functional, so we kept everything. Only laid a new floor, painted the walls and added new furniture.

The 1st floor:

All the internal walls are kept as they were.

We made a wedding ceremony room. The atmosphere in this part of town has made this the most popular place to get married in Beechwood.

Marriage leads to honeymoon. Which leads us to this room. The passport office.

The 2nd floor:

Now we’ve entered the staff area. Again all walls are still in their original place.

We made a breakroom with a news/magazine shelf on the end wall.

The toilet got new plumbing and fixtures. The small office got new hardwood floors and new furniture.

Conclusion:

I’ll let Carl have the last say in this. After all, it’s him and his colleagues that have made this wonderful transformation.

This has been a great project. The hospital is built of solid materials. So we had a great base to work off. The architect team has really worked their magic to transform this building into something new.

Final note:

The hardcore AFOL, will by now have spotted that there is a mix of Lego and third-party bricks used in the model.

I am well aware of the fandom views around supporting third-party brands and their way of working. I’m not here to promote them in any way. So they will remain named ‘Third-party brands’ Including the brands that have their own original designs.

I’m not going to defend my reasons for owning these third-party models. I’m here to share my love for the modular building series and the MOC’s build by creative fans.

If you are a really passioned  AFOL, and can’t see past the ‘third-party’ thing. Please keep calm and carry on.

If I’ve featured one of your creations, and you don’t wish to be featured on my blog. Please get in touch and I’ll remove the post.

Thank you.
